Effective April 26, 2026
Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Finvy. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Finvy.
1. The service
Finvy is a financial wellness platform that helps you organize your debts, plan your budget, and apply payments faster. Finvy is not a bank and does not hold your money. We do not provide tax, legal, or investment advice. Recommendations from the Finvy Coach and the recommendation engine are informational, not professional advice.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be a US resident at launch (other markets coming later).
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for the security of your password and any activity on your account. Don't share credentials.
- You can close your account at any time from Settings. We'll keep financial records as required by law (see the Privacy Policy on retention).
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to other users or the service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Finvy for any unlawful purpose or in violation of US sanctions.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to access another user's data.
- Submit information that you don't have the right to share, including another person's bank credentials.
- Use the AI Coach for legally binding tax, investment, or fiduciary advice. Treat its responses as informational.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Finvy offers a free Basic tier. Pro and Enterprise plans are paid subscriptions. Pricing is shown at signup and on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel from Settings; access continues through the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled case-by-case for verified billing errors.
6. Direct payments (when available)
When you approve a payment in Finvy, you authorize our banking partner to initiate an ACH transfer from your linked account to your creditor. Each payment requires your explicit approval; Finvy will never debit your account without that step. ACH payments typically post in 3 to 5 business days. You're responsible for ensuring funds are available; if a payment fails, your bank or creditor's standard fees may apply.
7. Connected accounts and third-party services
Bank links are provided by Plaid; AI features are provided by Google (Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude); billing by Stripe. By using these features, you agree to the relevant third-party terms. Finvy is not responsible for outages or errors in third-party systems but will work in good faith to restore service.
8. Disclaimers
Finvy is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Recommendations and projections are based on the data you provide and publicly known financial formulas. They are not guarantees. Your actual results depend on your spending, income changes, lender policies, and market conditions.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Finvy and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Finvy is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100.
10. Changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features. If a change is material and adverse, we'll notify you in-app and by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, where possible.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with at least 30 days notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts of New Castle County, Delaware, except where applicable law requires consumer disputes to be resolved in your state of residence.
